Last Night in Rozzie

To promote independent film Last Night In Rozzie, the team at Dan Ortiz Marketing Consultants helped launch the film’s campaign on the digital festival circuit by cutting a “mini-trailer” designed for social to highlight the film’s key themes of faith, fatherhood, and ultimately, forgiveness.

The trailer was posted to the film’s official social media account as well as shared by talent. Once the trailer was shared, the trailer was then targeted against key audience buckets and interest segments including sports, faith and other associated psychographic targets as well as shared with key outlets via a dedicated grassroots PR campaign.

With the campaign in high-gear charging towards a traditional theatrical release in September 2021 via Gravitas Ventures, the team then shifted to create a podcast with the filmmakers highlighting the creative process highlighting the ups and downs of independent filmmaking while interviewing film star, Jeremy Sisto.

The DOMC team recently worked with the management team of artist duo Sachin Jigar to help with the marketing strategy for the Bollywood film, Roohi and the title track from the film, Nadiyon Paar/Let The Music Play Again.

The team was tasked with helping to increase viewership and awareness which we achieved by optimizing the initial video’s distribution strategy alongside running a targeted TikTok campaign by engaging influencers to create dance tutorials for the video’s signature choreography tied to the kickoff of India’s Summer Wedding season.

Once we seeded the choreography of the dance to the target audience, we then enlisted the video’s star Janhvi Kapoor to help us pull off the dance tutorial to end all dance tutorials. As one of India’s most popular celebrities, we found that Janhvi was constantly followed by paparazzi, so we came up with the idea for Janhvi to surprise the roving band of photographers with an impromptu dance lesson to show them the ropes of one of the video’s trickiest dance moves. The resulting video became a #1 organic trending topic on Twitter in India and also skyrocketed onto the #FYP page of TikTok India.

DOMC partnered to support director, Miles Levin, and his short film, Under the Lights to raise awareness and money to turn Under the Lights into a feature film hoping that Under the Lights could go a long way to providing visibility to those suffering from epilepsy as there has yet to be a Hollywood film that that reflects and represents a condition that 1 in 26 people suffer from, often in silence. 

To support Miles’ mission during National Epilepsy Awareness Month, we created a custom Instagram AR filter to inspire others to donate to Miles’ cause to fund the feature film.
